OUR storY

Founded in 1979, LBA began as an architectural firm focused on tenant space development, multi-family and residential design, and construction management. From the start, we’ve served a diverse range of clients across the Southeast, delivering thoughtful, purpose-driven design solutions.

Our Principal, Michael A. Loia, brings decades of hands-on experience in the design and construction industry. For 22 years, he owned and operated Neal Loia Construction Company, specializing in tenant improvements and high-rise residential and commercial projects. He also served as Senior Vice President at RLR Architects and Engineers (Robertson Loia Roof), a multidisciplinary firm of 60+ professionals offering in-house civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical services.

With deep industry knowledge, Mr. Loia has not only led successful design and construction ventures, but also spearheaded real estate developments of his own. He continues to consult with developers throughout the Southeast and is a licensed architect in several states.

Today, LBA is a full-service, award-winning architecture and interior design firm. We are proud to be consistently ranked among Atlanta’s Top 25 Largest Interior Design Firms by the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Book of Lists.

For over four decades, our mission has remained the same: to create beautiful, functional spaces that transform how people experience the built environment. We take a collaborative, team-oriented approach to every project—prioritizing integration, innovation, and our clients’ evolving real estate and facility needs.

A THOUGHT FROM OUR FOUNDER

Architecture at it’s best represents the successful blending of art and science. Our approach to architectural projects is based on a sensitivity to the existing environment, the practical adaptation of form to function, and the lasting impact of the architectural style. Our philosophy is based on the belief that ARCHITECTURE of EXCELLENCE must incorporate the highest aesthetic standards and maintain real value in the marketplace over time.
— Michael A. Loia, President/CEO of LBA
